Beyond Exceptional – Heartfelt Thanks to Sean and Karen I don’t even know where to begin in expressing my gratitude to Sean and Karen. In the middle of one of the most stressful and vulnerable moments I’ve faced. just days before surgery, my essential medical supplies went missing. What followed could have been a complete disaster, but thanks to their incredible care and dedication, it became a story of compassion, calm, and true professionalism. Karen acted swiftly, arranging a redelivery with express picking and packing, and even organised a callback from the Talk To Me team to make sure I wasn’t left in the dark. Sean was the one who called me, and from the moment I heard his voice, I felt reassured. He promised the catheters would arrive the next day, and they did. But then, just as I was catching my breath, I received a call from the consultant saying they now needed size 20s instead of 18s. I was in a blind panic, crying, overwhelmed, and unsure what to do. I emailed Sean in tears, and he called me back almost immediately. His calm, steady voice grounded me. He had already managed to secure size 20s from limited stock—something I didn’t even think was possible. I didn’t care what brand or type they were, I just needed something to take with me for surgery, and he made that happen. The catheters arrived safely, and I finally felt like I could breathe again. Then, just to keep things interesting, I received a letter from the hospital saying they might now use size 22s. At that point, I just had to laugh. But Sean, try not to worry until after my surgery to see what they actually use before I give you another headache! I’m taking two size 18s and two size 20s with me, and if they insist on 22s, they can source them…and the bags to match. Sean and Karen, you didn’t just do your jobs, you showed humanity, empathy, and genuine care. You turned a moment of chaos into something manageable, and I’ll never forget that.
