I have only been using Catheters for about a month & used the contact my local GP to send a prescription for them to Wellspect, who delivered ithin a couple of days. Unfortunately that process in NO more as the NHS has now introduced a new method called Surrey Heartlands Appliance Presciptions Management Services or (SHAPMS). The appliance provider is now changed to Bullen Healthcare (oddly it appears they are connected companies who have separate phone numbers & neither are easily contacted via telephone or email or sending messages on their websites. My experience started last Thursday trying to contact both companies to register my details so an account could be set up. The person on the phone said an emergency order was being placed , so I could expect delivery the following Monday. Anyway Monday came & No notification of Catheters arrival. IIput a call back on the phone and someone called me @ 3:00 pm to advise they had run out of stock & they were having massive IT problems, but advised they were due to be delivered to them on Tuesday so I should expect delivery Thursday or Friday which means i have none to use for a few days. What an absolute mess but hopefully their Stock control and communications will get better. (Who knows) in this age of bull and lies.
