Having had a kidney stone in my bladder for a considerable number of months pending an operation to remove it, I turned to NHS for help and was referred to the District Nurses since incontinence was becoming an issue, pads at Level 3 proving inadequate. An appointment for a home visit was arranged for a couple of weeks hence for which I waited with great expectations - then the day prior to the planned visit, I was informed that the nurse had reported sick and they could give me no future firm date but suggested reference to Nightingale. Wow - within hours a representative telephoned to arrange an imminent appointment with a Nightingale Nurse Advisor, who identified the problem and ordered all the necessary equipment which arrived within 48 hours - very impressive. She called a week later to check that all equipment had been received and to offer further support, checking that I was familiar with the use of the equipment. Again, all very impressive so I would have NO hesitation in recommending Nightingale to anyone.
